Monroe Commons
The Monroe Commons is a redevelopment of an existing abandoned factory and warehouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The goal of this project is to take a large and underutilized site along the Grand River and transform it into a node that connects the local community to the greenway and rest of the city. This development also introduces much needed affordable housing options as well as commercial spaces for local business opportunities. A farmers’ market is also included to introduce healthy, fresh foods into a local food desert.
