Grand Traverse Museum of Nature and Science

Traverse City, Michigan is home to the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Annual Cherry Festival making it one of the largest tourist destinations in Michigan. The Grand Traverse Museum of Nature and Science introduces another place for tourism and education in the heart of the city.

The program of the museum, which features a planetarium, theater, and greenhouse spaces in addition to conventional exhibit spaces, was inspired by research of local amenities as well as numerous conversations with residents of Traverse City.
