Connecting Communities

Connecting Communities is a project located in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, a town with many residents who are currently suffering from widespread poverty, housing insecurity, and the lasting effects of racism and segregation.

Throughout the course of this project, I was in constant contact with residents and community leaders of South Pittsburg in hopes of creating a project that could address the housing needs of the residents while also serving as a community hub to connect previously fractured populations. This project includes much needed affordable housing, a public park and covered picnic area, as well as a community garden to help supply the residents with fresh produce.
