Cherokee Farms Recreation Center

The Cherokee Farms Recreation Center is the first phase of a design-build proposal done for the University of Tennessee Research Park at Cherokee Farm and in collaboration with the Tennessee Riverline project. This boathouse and recreation center is set to be the first of many newly constructed places for outdoor recreation along the Tennessee River from Knoxville, TN to Paducah, KY.

My group, with input from our clients at the UT Research Park as well as various community leaders, have proposed this design which aims to embed itself into the beautiful site at Cherokee Farm. This project will aim to create a space that is inviting for a variety of users while also serving as a node to connect Cherokee Farms to the larger network of transportation and recreation in Knoxville and beyond.
